About the Founder

Rebecca Orona has dedicated her entire career to helping students find their gifts and prepare for life after high school. With 20+ years of experience in K–12 education—as a teacher, curriculum specialist, principal, adjunct instructor, and tutor—she has guided countless students in building the skills, confidence, and strategies necessary for academic and personal success.

Rebecca began her career as an English teacher and moved to school administration as an assistant principal and principal at Title I schools. She mentored faculty, developed curriculum, and encouraged supportive learning communities with diverse student populations. She also served in collegiate readiness as a writing coach and SAT prep tutor and now guides students in drafting their unique stories for college applications.

Rebecca partners with students to make essays less overwhelming and more purposeful. She guides students in crafting authentic essays, highlighting their unique potential, and strengthening their time management skills. Her approach combines structure with encouragement, empowering students to step into their futures, prepared and confident.

Rebecca holds a B.S. in English and Physical Education from the University of Mary Hardin–Baylor and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Tarleton State University.  She completed her doctoral work (ABD) at Capella University in Educational Leadership before leaving educational administration.

Through Draft & Dream Coaching, Rebecca helps students transform uncertainty into confidence and ideas into compelling stories. She believes the college application process should be a moment of reflection and growth, not stress and self-doubt. By guiding students to uncover patterns in their experiences and connect them to who they hope to become, Rebecca helps them approach college, and the opportunities beyond it, with clarity, ownership, and direction.
